AP Economics EOC Assessment Policy
Students must take the Economics EOC Assessment to graduate from Georgia public high schools. Often, those who take an AP Economics course will not have taken the regular Economics course or the corresponding EOC Assessment. Instead, they take the EOC and it counts as the final exam grade. When the various EOC Assessments are being coordinated, all AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics students are notified that they will take the EOC Assessment.

If a student has already taken the EOC Assessment or plans to for another course, the school facilitator must notify the GAVS testing coordinator. In that case, the student will instead take the final exam in the course.

Those enrolled in both AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics during the same semester take the EOC Assessment in whatever course they are taking at their local school. If both courses are taken through GAVS, then the EOC Assessmentwill be taken in AP Macroeconomics and the final exam in AP Microeconomics unless the student notifies the teacher via email.

Regardless, students should be notified by the testing coordinator and/or teacher on which test should be taken.
